- WHERE: Brand Library & Arts Center, 1601 W Mountain Street, Glendale, CA
We at CityGyd love a good find, especially one that most people know very little about. Our newest find is this this unique and rare library which is not your conventional library.
Whats unique about it?
For starters it's on a hilly landscape, it's not your average book library. Brand Library & Art's center is focused on the visual arts and music. It caters to those seeking diversity. The property's exterior are a masterpiece on its own. The property was owned by L.C. Brand was converted from a home to a library and opened for business in 1956.
The beauty of this library both lies in its internal art hall as well as it's surroundings, the brand park, brand library hiking trail which we we will all explore as we go over the the Brand family's history.
Finally to conclude our tour we will enjoy some snacks and juices provided by our guide Marina at the park. Join us on an afternoon of history, art, culture and great conversation.
