Meet at: Daiso Japan, 2130 Sawtelle Blvd #112, Los Angeles
--OK! Who is ready for a stroll in "Sawtelle Japantown" in West L.A.?
We are going to walk in the area called "Little Osaka" for a fun and tasty tour! Sawtelle is noted for its thriving Japanese American community, busy restaurants and artsy buildings. It has strong roots in Japanese-American history. In recognition of its historical heritage, the area was designated Sawtelle Japantown in 2015.
We will meet in front of "DAISO", Japanese-style dollar store where you can find good quality goods. (Please park your car at the parking lot in front/underneath of DAISO or any other parking lot nearby.)
We will stop by at "NIJIYA", Japanese market for an introduction of what they actually eat every day. Ask any questions about which ingredients, sauce and spice to buy while you are there.
Don't leave until you try some of the authentic Japanese food there! We will be eating Ramen or Sushi, and Taiyaki ice cream of choices are waiting for you. If you don't know what to order, just ask the Japanese tour guide for a recommendation. Tokyo Olympic is coming this summer of 2021, why not enjoy a bits, bites and more of Japan!
