Angelino Heights is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Los Angeles (founding 1886). It features the highest concentration of Victorian houses in the city, many of them dating back to the late 1880s, when moneyed Midwesterners started settling here. Some of the homes were moved from other parts of LA.

We will visit homes featured in:
TV shows: Charmed, Journeyman, Mad Men (brothel scene)
Movies: Teen Witch (1989), Chinatown, The Fast And The Furious (Toretto's Market), Keystone Cops
Music Video: Michael Jackson's Thriller

Next we will walk through gorgeous Echo Park with its pedal boats shaped as swans, its multi-story water fountain, promenade walking loop, and Lady of the Lake statue.

Echo Park was first known as Edendale, the first "Hollywood". Established in 1892, the area of Echo Park known as Edendale was the center of filmmaking on the West Coast.

The Echo Park Lake area was built in 1892, after a ditch built built to pool water into the resovior from the LA river in 1868. The lake reopened on June 5, 2013 after a $45 million renovation.

Lastly, we will visit the shops and restaurants on Sunset Blvd.
